Ms. Markham? Or Ms. Frizzle? TV Character Day 2015
About Me:
I am Michigan raised and couldn't imagine a better place to live! I graduated from Andrews University in 2015 with Social Studies, Secondary Education. This is my second year at Bridgman and it is an honor to teach in such an awesome community!
Experience:
I completed my student teaching at St. Joseph High School where I taught World History, US History, and AP Comparative Government. The following year I took a long term subbing position there teaching World History and Practical Law. I also had the opportunity to be one of the sponsors for Model UN. Previously at Bridgman, I taught 8th grade U.S. History and Math Intervention at the high school. I am also the head girl's track coach at the high school and one of the 9th grade sponsors.
Philosophy:
In the classroom I have three elements I incorporate for an effective learning environment: enhancement of creativity in the lesson, encouragement of higher order thinking, and inspiring selfworth within each student. These elements are meant to foster a positive, comfortable learning environment for the students.
